Kahoot! is the right call when the job is the room in front of you, right now.
- A Friday review game for Year 8, hosted on the classroom screen while pupils answer on their phones.
- A conference session where 2,000 people answer without installing anything.
- A cover teacher who needs a warm-up in a minute and will take a ready-made kahoot.
Choose LearningFlow if

This is a good product at what it does. The question for a school is what else is on the invoice: each remaining job is another product, another bill, another set of logins, and a handover you do by hand every time.

A real Linux sandbox
Work with AI runs Python, pandas and LibreOffice on a sandboxed machine, so a marks spreadsheet arrives with its formulas still calculating.
A narrated whiteboard video
One sentence becomes a narrated MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, and correcting a wrong scene redraws only that scene.
An app with sign-in
Describe a reading-log app and get a working one at its own address, and a weekly email app can read the same table under its own permissions, which an admin can switch off on its own.
Students with accounts
Students get their own accounts and a join code for the class, so work comes back under a real name, not a nickname.
Where Kahoot! is the better choice
If the job is the last ten minutes of a lesson, buy Kahoot!. Nothing gets thirty phones answering faster, because a player needs no account, no app and no roster, just a PIN and a nickname. A cover teacher can search the ready-made library and have a warm-up running before the bell stops. LearningFlow has no live game-show mode, so a department that mainly wants a review game every Friday should buy Kahoot! and stop there.

Before they decide.
Can we run both, and can we move our kahoots across?
Running both is the normal answer: LearningFlow makes the worksheet, the deck and the video, Kahoot! runs the review game at the end. Kahoot! publishes no file export for an authored kahoot, course or story, so nothing comes out of it. Going the other way is easier, because Kahoot! accepts a bulk question import from its own spreadsheet template, so a question list made in LearningFlow can be filled into that sheet. What travels is the source material you wrote it from.
We are a twelve-teacher school. What are we locked out of?
On Kahoot! EDU, quite a lot. SSO (SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect), SCIM provisioning and LTI 1.3 LMS integration each print a 25-licence minimum, so a twelve-teacher school has to buy 25 licences to get any of them. Domain claim is Premium only. LearningFlow has no licence count to clear, and model choice is not gated by plan or tier.
Can an admin switch AI off for some staff and leave it on for others?
Not in Kahoot!. The EDU admin set has one organisation-wide toggle to disable generative AI features, so the switch lands on every teacher in the organisation at once, and Kahoot! documents no per-teacher exception. LearningFlow switches seven capabilities per member: org-library, chat, flow-creator, assignment-creator, solution-designer, base and work-with-ai.
Do our students need accounts?
For Kahoot!, no. Players join by PIN with a nickname, so a player never signs up. Kahoot! still records the answers given under that nickname, and its children's privacy notice sets the age for a child account by country rather than one worldwide number. In LearningFlow students are a first-class user type with accounts, join codes and assignments, which is the right trade only when you want the work named.
A teacher leaves in July. Who keeps what they made?
In Kahoot! the answer is contractual. Terms 2.2 lets a school administrator take control of a domain account, but no content-transfer feature is documented. In LearningFlow the orgId is stamped when the object is created and never moves between organisations. Removing a member deletes the membership row, not the work, and an admin can list org-library tools whose owner has left and reassign them.
