LearningFlow vs Manus
Manus is a capable agent: give it a goal and it works in a cloud Linux machine with live internet, then hands back a .pptx or a published site. LearningFlow returns the same kinds of files, a .pptx, an .xlsx, an MP4, then answers the questions a school has to ask: who owns it, who may use it, and who the learners are.

Choose Manus if
Choose Manus when the job is open-ended work on the live web, done by adults for adults.
- An admissions officer wants a week of competitor research pulled from live sites, then repeated every Monday.
- A marketing team needs a landing page built from a Figma file and published on its own domain.
- One person wants an answer this afternoon, with no administrator to set anything up first.
Choose LearningFlow if
Choose LearningFlow when the work belongs to a school, a college or a training team rather than to one person.
- A Year 7 class needs its own logins and join codes, not a shared staff account.
- Finance wants the school's spending kept apart from a teacher's own free monthly credits.
- A partner in Malaysia sells credits in ringgit through senangPay, under its own sub-organisation.
Where the two are built differently.
The account holds the work.
Someone has to ask her to hand it over, or it goes with her.
The work was made on a personal login, so recovering it is a favour rather than a setting. Schools discover this in August, when the person who built the scheme of work no longer answers email.
The organisation holds the work.
Ms Okafor's key is revoked. The work has not moved.
People hold keys, not possessions. Removing someone removes their key. Whoever teaches 6C next September opens the same library and the same base, on their first morning, without asking anyone for a copy.
What each one does.
Written from each product's own documentation. Where something is true only on a higher tier, the row says so.
| Manus | LearningFlow | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can hold an account | Manus is an 18 plus product, so a pupil cannot have a login of their own. | Students are a first-class user type, with their own accounts, join codes and assignments. |
| What you pay for | Plans at $20, $40 and $200 a month, sold as starting prices with credit allowances you can raise, Team from $20 per seat with pooled credits, and monthly credits reset rather than roll over. | Credits rather than seats, with no subscription required, and personal, organisation and enterprise wallets kept separate. |
| Work on the live web | The sandbox has internet, the Browser Operator extension works inside your own signed-in browser, and Wide Research runs about 20 subtasks at once across a long list of items. | The Work with AI container has no network, so live pages are reached by a published app calling web search and crawl. |
| Publishing on your own domain | Sites and apps are hosted by Manus with custom domains, GitHub export and Figma import. | A Solution Designer app gets its own address and its own sign-in, on LearningFlow. |
| Choice of underlying model | Manus 1.6 Lite, 1.6 and 1.6 Max, decided by your plan, with no third-party models offered. | Flow Designer reaches Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek among others, with no plan gate. |
| Results into a learning record | No xAPI or learning record store appears anywhere in the documentation. | Ingest an xAPI package, use the self-hosted SQL LRS, or point at the organisation's own LRS. |
| Programmatic access | A REST API at v2 covering tasks, files, webhooks and usage, plus MCP connectors, Slack and Zapier. | POST /task/:taskId with an x-api-key and optional streaming, and published apps take signed webhooks and cron schedules. |
| A free account for a teacher | The free plan refreshes 300 credits daily, caps those daily credits at 1,500 a month and runs Manus 1.6 Lite only, on top of 1,000 credits at sign-up. | A teacher's free monthly grant sits in a personal wallet and never pays for the school's work. |
A role, not a set of switches.
Everyone inside gets the product. If a feature is not right for a group — thirteen-year-olds, or a department mid-pilot — the answer is to not give them an account at all.
Seven switches, per group.
Year 7 opens the library and can chat. They cannot build apps or reach the database. Change your mind at 9am and it is different at 9.01, for that group only — without removing anyone's account.
One part of the job, done well.
This is a good product at what it does. The question for a school is what else is on the invoice: each remaining job is another product, another bill, another set of logins, and a handover you do by hand every time.
Idea to a class that has done it.
One login, one pool of credits, one place the spending shows up. A video drops into a lesson, the lesson becomes an assignment, the assignment writes to a base and an app reads it — nothing is exported and re-imported.
What comes with it here.
Fifty-nine tools, already built
Lesson plans, rubrics, quizzes, worksheets, report comments, text levelling and YouTube questions sit in a public gallery, ready to run.
A narrated whiteboard video
One sentence becomes an MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, with subtitles off, as a sidecar .srt or burned in, and a scene you correct is the only one redrawn.
A contract for each app
Several apps share one base, and each holds seven separate permissions scoped to named tables, named columns and a row filter, with an expiry.
Resold in local currency
Sub-organisations sit under an enterprise with wholesale credit pools, per-currency exchange rates, volume tiers, Stripe and senangPay.
Where Manus is the better choice
If the buyer is an adult team doing open-ended work on the live web, Manus is the better tool. A marketing or admissions officer can hand it a goal, let it read live sites, install what it needs, publish a report and a site on your own domain, then repeat that on a schedule. For one person working alone it is also faster and needs far less setting up: no administrator, no capabilities to switch on, no class to make first. Its security paperwork is real too, with SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701, and a public trust centre.
The whole stack against Manus.
The table above compares the two at the job they share. This one runs every capability past both, because what a school is choosing between is usually a tool that does one job and a workspace that does many. Hover any mark to see what it means, and a partial one to see exactly what is limited.

Before they decide.
Can our students use Manus?
Not if they are under 18. The help centre says the platform is not intended for anyone under that age, and no parental consent route is documented. Staff and adult learners are fine, and students, alumni and staff at a participating university can verify a .edu address and claim free Campus Program credits. LearningFlow gives students their own accounts, join codes and assignments.
A teacher leaves in July. What happens to her work?
In Manus the work sits under her profile, though a Super Admin can already see tasks across the team. An admin opens Members, then Deactivated, and delegates that profile to a colleague, who then finds it in the Profile Switcher. A deactivated profile stays locked until an admin reactivates or delegates it. In LearningFlow the organisation id is stamped when the object is made and never moves, so removing her membership removes the person, not the rubric. An admin can also list org-library tools whose owner has left and reassign them.
What will Manus actually cost us?
As of 13 September 2026 the individual tiers are $20, $40 and $200 a month, and the $40 and $200 tiers let you adjust the credit allowance. All paid tiers show 300 refresh credits daily, 20 concurrent tasks and 20 scheduled tasks, and annual billing saves 17 per cent. Team starts at $20 per seat a month, single sign-on is a flat paid add-on below 30 seats, and unused monthly credits reset rather than roll over.
Can we run both, or move from one to the other?
Running both is reasonable, with one date to check first. Manus separated from Meta this year and now runs as an independent company. In August 2026 it deleted data made on or after 29 December 2025 for some users, to meet rules in certain countries. Ask Manus whether your account was affected and where your data sits now. Finished files such as a .pptx or a PDF are just files and open on either side. A flow, a base or an assignment is built in the product that will run it. Staff can keep Manus for open web research and call LearningFlow from it, since LearningFlow takes POST /task/:taskId with an x-api-key and Manus has a REST API and MCP connectors. If you do migrate a personal Manus account into a team account, note that the step is irreversible and the data becomes the organisation's property.
Do we get real files, or does the work stay inside the product?
From Manus, presentations come out as .pptx that stays editable in PowerPoint or Google Slides, plus PDF, web slides and a separate speaker-notes document. It also makes spreadsheets, images and websites, and it reads and writes .xlsx during data analysis. LearningFlow's sandbox returns .pptx, .xlsx, .docx, .mp4, .mp3 and .png, and a spreadsheet comes back with working formulas rather than pasted values.
